Purple Belt | Head Instructor
My name is Easton Shepard, I started training Jiujitsu 12 years ago. I train under Worlds Master Champion Black Belt Matt Tuttle.
Jiujitsu for me, is a lifestyleβ it's more than wrestling. It's a science and study in martial arts. It's helped me grow as a person, and I attribute the majority of what I've accomplished in my adult life to what I've learned on the mats.
I've been a part of the competition circuit and win or loseβ there is always something to be found that can better us for next time. I believe strongly in 'Get up, Show up' method, especially when you don't want to. Jiujitsu has helped me develop a strong character, intense work ethic, and I desire to see others succeed.

"I started training at Dude's with zero experience, and Coach Easton made me feel welcome from day one. The atmosphere is supportive, not intimidating. I've lost 25 pounds and gained confidence I never thought I'd have. Best decision I've made for myself in years."
"Coach Easton has a special gift for training children. After only a handful of sessions, my kids are already having fun and looking forward to every class."
"My son and I train together here, and it's become our favorite bonding time. The community at Dude's is like a second family. Everyone looks out for each other, and Coach Easton creates an environment where both kids and adults can thrive. Highly recommend!"
Absolutely not! Our Fundamentals classes are designed specifically for beginners. We'll teach you everything you need to know, starting with the basics. Many of our best students started with zero martial arts experience.
For your first class, just wear comfortable athletic clothing (t-shirt and athletic shorts or pants). Once you decide to continue training, we'll help you get a gi (the traditional BJJ uniform). No shoes are worn on the mat.
BJJ is a journey, not a destination! You'll start seeing improvements in your fitness and basic techniques within the first few weeks. Most students earn their first belt promotion within 1-2 years of consistent training. The key is showing up regularly and enjoying the process.
BJJ is one of the safest martial arts when practiced correctly. We emphasize controlled training, proper technique, and looking out for your training partners. Injuries can happen in any physical activity, but we take safety seriously and teach students to train smart. All students must complete an injury waiver before training.
Not at all! BJJ will get you in shape. We work with students of all fitness levels and adjust the intensity to match your current abilities. You'll build strength, endurance, and flexibility as you train.
Yes! We love having families train together. Kids can take the Kids Fundamentals class while parents train in Adult Fundamentals. It's a great way to bond as a family and share a common interest.
Initially, just comfortable athletic wear. As you continue, you'll need a gi (BJJ uniform), which typically costs $60-100. We can recommend good options for beginners. You may also want a mouthguard for protection.
Yes, we have changing facilities available for students. [Additional details about parking, amenities, etc. can be added here]
